How I Use AI to Run My Business Like a CEO (Without Overwhelm & Distraction)
There’s this myth that AI is just about saving time. And sure, time-saving is great, but that’s not why I use it.
I use AI because my brain is constantly juggling a million things. I run a business, I serve clients, I create content, I answer DMs, I try to have a life. AI isn’t just about efficiency for me—it’s about freeing up my mental energy so I can actually enjoy running my business instead of drowning in tasks.
And yet, when I scroll through AI advice online, it’s either:
Too basic—"Just use ChatGPT to write blog posts!"
Too complicated—"Fine-tune your own AI model using Python!"
Neither of those are helpful if you’re an overwhelmed business owner trying to scale and still have a personal life.
So, today, I’m pulling back the curtain and giving you a real inside look at how I actually use AI in my daily workflow—from planning my week to creating content to automating client communication.

Step 1: AI for Organizing the Chaos
The first thing I ever used AI for – and the reason I still rely on it today – is keeping my to-do list from destroying my will to live.
The “WTF Do I Do First?” Problem
Let me take you back to late 2022. I was planning my wedding while running my business, and my brain was a mess. The to-do list was unhinged, my stress levels were off the charts, and I had zero idea where to start.
Enter ChatGPT.
In a moment of desperation, I dumped my entire wedding to-do list into ChatGPT, expecting… I don’t even know what. But what I got? A categorized, prioritized, broken-down plan that actually made sense.
That was the moment I realized AI wasn’t just a gimmick, it was my organizational savior.
How I Use AI to Plan My Week Now
Now, I use my own Custom GPT to do the same thing, but for my business.
Here’s my system:
Brain dump EVERYTHING: Client work, marketing, admin, errands, personal life. It all goes into Apple Notes.
AI organizes it for me: Prioritizing, categorizing, and grouping tasks so I can instantly see what matters most.
Batch work like a CEO: Instead of jumping between five different types of tasks a day, I get focused blocks of work time.
The Result?
No more waking up stressed, trying to figure out where to start.
No more jumping between tasks like a hyper-caffeinated squirrel.
No more decision fatigue.
Total time saved: 2-3 hours a week.
Step 2: AI as My Personal Storytelling Assistant
Let’s talk about AI-generated content.
Most of it is boring as hell. It’s stiff, robotic, and sprinkled with way too many unnecessary emojis. And I don’t know about you, but I don’t connect with content that sounds like it was written by a chatbot from 2017.
So, I built another Custom GPT – this one trained in a storytelling framework I picked up at a conference in Brooklyn last summer.
The AI-Powered Storytelling System
I voice-dictate my thoughts into my Notes app whenever inspiration strikes.
AI takes my messy brain dump and structures it into a compelling post—connecting it back to my audience’s pain points and desires.
I tweak, polish, and post, knowing it sounds like me, not a generic content farm.
Since using this system, I’ve been posting regularly on LinkedIn (a platform I used to hide from), and the response has been wild.
More engagement. More DMs from past clients. More connection.
And the best part? I actually enjoy hitting publish now.

Step 3: AI for Genius-Level Inbox Management
Confession: I hate email.
For years, my inbox was a black hole of anxiety. Messages piling up. Clients waiting too long for responses. Important things getting lost in a flood of marketing emails I didn’t remember subscribing to.

How I Use AI for Presentations
I dump my outline into Gamma, and it instantly creates a branded slide deck.
I tweak the slides (instead of spending hours trying to make them “just right” in Canva).
I turn the deck into a micro-site and use it as a lead magnet – so even people who miss my live workshops can access the content.
This one tool has completely changed how I prep for presentations.
Total time saved: 4+ hours per presentation.
Step 5: AI for Client Education – Custom Resources in 10 Minutes
When clients ask me the same questions over and over, I have two choices:
Spend 30-60 minutes answering each one individually.
Use AI to create a custom, high-value answer in 10 minutes or less.
Lately, I’ve been doing the latter—with Perplexity AI.
How I Use AI for Client Education
A former client needed help optimizing her Google Business Profile.
Instead of recording a Loom tutorial, I searched in Perplexity, pulled the best resources, and created a custom knowledge page for her.
She got a step-by-step guide that felt personalized—but only took me 10 minutes to put together.
Clients get high-value answers. I get my time back.
Total time saved: 3+ hours per week.
